I am Akbar Ali, a PhD researcher in sociology at Ghent University, Belgium. With four years of experience as a lecturer in sociology, my academic expertise lies in the sociology of family and marriages. My research explores the dynamics of family structures. marital transitions and their sociological implications. Driven by a deep interest in the social adjustment of adolescents living with stepparent families in Pakistan, I aim to contribute valuable insights to the field of family sociology.
I find joy in travelling and exploring new places to experience the diversity of culture and environments.
